“The Day Jobbers Essential Poetry Prompt” Goes on Holiday!

This post was first published in August 2015 and I re-post it at the original date. Feel free to use the prompt despite the event being over:

Good Morning Ladies and Gentlemen (at least if you are somewhere around GMT)! We are fast approaching the middle of August and the summer holiday time is upon us. Even though it is not that original I have decided we need to write about the holidays.

This Week’s “The Day Jobbers Essential Poetry Prompt.”

So this week’s prompt is simply:

HOLIDAYS

Well, of course as usual it is entirely up to you if you want to stay with the “obvious” choice of the summer holidays or if you rather go the opposite and think about the approaching Christmas Holidays. I just realised I am mainly thinking in “Nothern Hemisphere” terms and totally disregard that at the other end of the world it is Winter. So, guys and gals no matter where you are and which holidays you prefer: Go for it.

Also chose which form you like: free verse, rhyme, formal, informal, visual….

Have a poetic go on the vast topic of “HOLIDAYS” and blow my mind with your creations.

So here is how to take part:

•Read “The Day Jobbers Essential Poetry Prompt” here on “The Bee Writes…” on Wednesdays
•Write your poem as close or far from the prompt as you feel comfortable
•Post it on your blog or here in the comment section or both
•You have time for that until the next Tuesday
•Use “The Day Jobbers Essential Poetry Prompt” picture if you want to
• Go and read another “Day Jobbers Essential Poetry Prompt” Poem from the comments
• Most of all have lots of fun
