Gorgeous views on “The Day Jobbers Essential Poetry Prompt”

This post was first published in September 2015 and I re-post it on that date. Feel free to use the prompt even though the event is over.

I love to write poems inspired by pictures and as we have been on holiday to Germany and Switzerland I have a few that can inspire great poetry. Or so I believe ;-).

Therefore, September will be dedicated to the photo as ” The Day Jobbers Essential Poetry Prompt”

This week’s prompt

This week’s prompt is a photo taken on a rock called the “Drachenfels” or “Dragons Crag” as Lord Byron who discovered the area for tourists called it. I had translated it “Dragon’s Rock”. My step-mum who is a volunteer at a local museum told us about the poem Lord Byron wrote about the area and gave us a few laughs after we explained the double meaning to her.
So here is the gorgeous view we had up at “The castled crag of Drachenfels” and I hope it inspires you to some poetic heights!
