Ok, here we go! Today I’ve turned #frapalymo around ~ I post the prompt here but the poem over at “The Bee Writes…”

You can find suggestions on how to take part in the English version after the picture at the end of this post. Can I tempt you into writing a poem????? 🙂

Just in case you didn’t have the time to read the posts on my other blog ~ here is the explanation about “English #frapalymo” that I gave on Sunday:

What is #frapalymo?

“It is time again for another gorgeous #frapalymo. If you never have heard of it, my words from this year’s May #frapalymo will explain it:

“…#frapalymo stands for “Frau Paulchen’s Lyrik Monat” and means “Mrs Paulchens Poetry Month”. @FrauPaulchen is a wonderful German poetess who started #frapalymo four years ago in the style of the English “Poetry Month” which is in April (or NaPoWriMo). However, she did not know about both “Poetry Months” then. It was rather a poetic answer to #NaNoWriMo as she started it in November. Her idea was to do something like NaNo just with poetry, and it runs ever since.

Since many years, I have either taken part with my English poems or even translated @FrauPaulchen’s prompts because I think it would be great to have it in English too. I suspect though it does not really “jump” over because most English speaking/writing poets take part in “Poetry Month” in April or #NaPoWriMo in October.” (I’ve added #NaPoWriMo this time that was not in the original text).

Last May though it has “jumped over” and  Mariela Nortina and Helen Espinosa have taken part. So of course on November 15 I will translate @FrauPaulchen’s posts again and will also write a poem or two. This time, the translations won’t only be on one of my blogs. According to my blogging schedule, I will post them on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays here and on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays on “Fooling Around With Bee”. Sundays it will do it either here or on the other blog. And the poems will appear on the other blog respectively…””

not much new on today’s prompt for the #frapalymo poem on November 3rd ~ here is part two of the double prompt that is: “solid”. let’s find out how differently this condition of aggregation will manifest itself in hit- and stab-proof words.

Tips for taking part in an English poem in #frapalymo

1. read translation of @FrauPaulchen’s prompt on either of Bee’s blogs (The Bee Writes… and Fooling Around with Bee)
2. write your English (German if you can/want to) poem on your blog and tag it with “English #frapalymo.”
3. use the “English #frapalymo” picture if you want to
4. set a link to the translated prompt here on Bee’s blog
5. visit other links posted here and if you want to/can those posted with the hashtag #fapalymo on Twitter
6. The Bee will post your link to the German #frapalymo and translate for you if you want to
