Yesterday I wrote that a habit I wanted to develop was to send myself a blessing and positive energy when I need to forgive myself. That reminded me that I am rather late to introduce “The Skill of the Month Club” again:
The basic idea is to develop a new skill and a new habit a month. In the last couple of weeks, I have often read that it needs more than the mythical 28 days to make a habit stick but hey… it’s worth trying, isn’t it? Well, I set myself the goal this year to develop a new skill and a new habit per month..
High expectations, I know but it’s worth trying I think.
So what’s up for me then for April?
Habit is the above: Sending myself a blessing and positive energy when I need to forgive myself. However, I think for this month I will do this daily no matter what and see whats going to happen.
As for the skill: That’s a little more difficult. Had a couple of ideas when I wrote the wrap-up post in March but I forgot them all. Should have written them down. I could try another poll, of course. But that did not work last time so I’ll keep that for later.
I am stalling as you can see. My brain is a little bit of a chaotic mishmash and “Four Weddings and a Funeral” is on the tv. You know that scene where Hugh Grant gets the doors wrong???? You don’t???? Never mind 🙂 he found it LOL
Ok, I still need a skill for April… Oh, I know: Does teaching English count? Probably. Certainly, a skill and I think I can manage that course by the end of the month. There you go. Sorted. Even though maybe I should start with comma rules in English. That’s a skill too.
So, if you want to take part in the “Skill fo the month club” then let me know and I come and cheer you on!
And just in case you are at a loss at how to get about the whole skill learning thing. Maybe this lady can help us:
