Welcome back ladies and gentlemen, how has your week been? Have you taken out time to take good care of yourself and remember how far you have come? And have you tried out one of the spiritual card readings?
It doesn’t matter which path of self-care you are choosing or which spiritual path you are following. I am glad you are here. So please sit down have a cup of your favourite beverage and let’s relax a little.
Maybe I pushed the boundaries too much last week with my spiritual offerings for Music Monday Care & Love but there have been a couple of readers who commented which was great. Emilia over at “My Inner MishMash” has her laptop back and I think JoAnna is getting on with taking care of her parent’s house. Also wondering if Carol Ann managed to read “You are a Badass“. Will have to ask her.

The Bee’s Self-Care and Readings from last week
As for me: I have found a great new site to get some guidance from cards: it’s Luise Hay’s “Heal Your Life” which offers Angel Tarot Cards. In spring I discovered her work with affirmations and mirror work via a HayHouse online summit that offered videos and works of healing for free.
Since then I am getting her newsletter with affirmations and am currently reading her book “Mirror Work” which suggests an interesting idea: If you tell yourself positive affirmation into a mirror looking into your eyes they are working better. So far I can’t tell you if it works or not. To me, it feels like it is a lifelong practice to gain benefits. Maybe you know more about it?
The Bee’s Self-care Music for last week
I’ve gone mainly wordless in my music choices for last week. As it was a full moon week my sleeping pattern was and still is all muddled up and my sixth sense is heightened. Therefore, I chose mainly meditation music and here is an example that kept me going last week:

This music certainly connected me with my inner guidance!
Self-Care in week 11 of Music Monday Care & Love
No, don’t worry. This is not some sort of course that you have to follow from the beginning. I just keep the weeks in some titles to remind myself how long I have managed to stick with this blog event as I have challenged myself to learn to stick with stuff. But that’s an entirely different story 🙂
I think we might want to go back to basics just to remind ourselves: My idea for Music Monday Care & Love originally was to allow ourselves to celebrate how far we have come in our healing and in gaining more self-esteem and practise more self-care. At one of the first Music Mondays, I suggested to just have a mug of your favourite beverage and remember your achievements and to celebrate those at the beginning of each week. It just gives the week such a positive boost if we do that. I also think we can remember to journal as that gives us the possibility to see the changes that have happened so far. That is all I ask for this week.

And for the music, I suggest you choose a song that reminds you of your successes. I am sure there are many successes and many songs that you can choose from.
Music Monday Care & Love New Direction
For a while now I am toying with the idea to follow one of the books that I found rather helpful in learning more self-care for the next few months of Music Monday Care & Love. I have two suggestions:
One is Julia Cameron’s “The Artist’s Way” and after that “Walking in this World“. The other is Rachel Kelly’s “Walking on Sunshine“.
Julia Cameron is a filmmaker and creativity teacher whose philosophy it is that we are all artists but that we do need to unlearn negative beliefs learned in childhood surrounding creativity. Her 12-week programs allow a lot of self-inspection, as well as self-care, and they have helped me a lot.
Rachel Kelly is a journalist who has suffered severe depression and shared her self-care journey to healing in “Walking on Sunshine” which is connected with the seasons.
I just counted weeks and realised that we could start with Julia Cameron’s books and then go forward to Rachel Kelly’s because that would just work out. But that is just an idea.
What do you think? Would you like to follow a sort of course with these books or rather stay with my more or less random guidances on self-care? And if you prefer to follow a book which of my suggestions would you like to try out? Or do you have a book/course we could follow? Music Monday Care & Love is open for suggestions 🙂 . Please leave your preferences in the comments. Much appreciated!
So, there is only the suggestions on how to take part left to share:

This music piece is beautiful. During the full moon time I also listened to a lot of instrumental music, particularly Enya’s instrumental pieces. It could be very interesting and inspiring to follow some books with self care, I think I like Julia Cameron’s approach. 🙂

Hi Emilia, thanks for your feedback. I think I’d prefer her approach too even though I have done her first book a couple of times now. But it teaches me new things every time. Will see what others say if they express an opinion. I haven’t listened to Enya for ages. Probably since the Lord of the Rings films. I had the soundtrack of one of them and listened to it continously. Hope you are having a great week!
