Oh, I just could not resist this one!
Cee’s current series for Cee’s Fun Foto Challenge is called “Things People…” and this week’s prompt is “Things People Grow“.

Description for visually impaired readers: tree bark on left, daisy on right surrounded by green plants. Quote saying: I grow plants for many reasons: to please my eye or to please my soul, to challenge the elements or to challenge my patience, for novelty or for nostalgia, but mostly for the joy in seeing them grow.
One reason why we wanted to buy a house was to have a garden where we can grow our own fruit and veg. Luckily we found an ex-council house with a huge garden that didn’t stretch our finances too much.
We inherited many plants: A small apple tree with delicious big apples, three rose bushes one of which is a very prolific rambling rose and several buddleias. As we want to make our garden as insect and bee friendly as possible we do not work with weed killer and try not to make it look to “organised”.
There are nettles for butterflies to find a home, a bee-friendly wildflower bed (not only wildflowers but it also looks rather wild 😉 ) and said buddleias. But bees, bumble bees and other insects also love our borage plants, the nasturtiums and the marigolds all of which I just let grow as they please. Will have to make a little order before winter…
But here some photo’s of what the best husband (Jeremy Clarkson voice) in the world and I are growing. I put a short description for visually impaired readers underneath each photo.

Thanks, Cee for this great challenge 🙂

Thanks for dropping by mine. We downsized 6 years ago so no longer have a garden. I do miss it at times.
I love that you take the time to put a description for the visually impaired.

You are welcome. I can imagine you miss your garden. It has been a good thing for me and my mental health. I try to have my blog as accessible as possible but don’t always manage to do the descriptions. But it’s a start.
