December 2018

Is it really Christmas already? Well, for you English speaking readers it starts tomorrow but in German children get their presents on the evening of the 24th. We used to go to church, had dinner which was a fast one with sausages, potatoes and veg and then the dining room was locked and the adults did put the presents under the tree. They called us with the ringing of the bell. That meant Santa was just gone and we could come in. It was always magical to see the tree with proper candles. I think my mother set it on fire once LOL. Those were the day ;-).

For all of you who want a little distraction or do not celebrate Christmas here is a poetry prompt anyway 🙂

November 2012

Ah, Christmas is near. Time to be jolly, eat a lot and of course fairy tales and maybe some snow. You get the gist where I got my #MondayPrompt for the week 26/11 – 02/12/12 from:

“Snow White”

both connect the fairy tales and the snow. But I am sure you find other ideas as well.

So please write, verse, get creative in any form you like and if you want to link your blog to this blog or post your poem in a comment here. Thanks!
