#SoCS receives Mail or too much information, Bee!!!!

*if you are a little squeamish or do not like to read about bodily parts feel free to leave this post now 😉

The mistress of sub- and other conscious writing prompts Linda G Hill has taunted us again:

Your Friday prompt for Stream of Consciousness Saturday is “the last piece of mail you received.” Talk about the subject of the last piece of physical mail you received, i.e. a gas bill–talk about gas, not the bill itself. Have fun!

I think I have to cheat today. The reason for it is the last letter I received: An invitation for a breast examination because of an extraordinary cyst:

It was big. Huge. Ginormous

and I already wrote about it on Carol Anne’s “Therapy Bits“!

I wrote:

“10.38

I got the second prompt from Tweetspeakpoetry and it is:

The Prompt, Based on Barkat’s Poem

Barkat creates irresistible sounds by employing “expert vocabulary,”
or specific words from a field, such as gardening. Write a poem that catalogs a variety of words you may not commonly use—it could be language from ice hockey, chemistry, or raising guinea pigs. Doing a bit
of research first is okay. Play with the words and enjoy the sounds
of them bumping and crashing together.

That’s gonna be fun. I am soon off to the hospital to have my breast examined. I notoriously get cysts. Didn’t really want to go because it seems to be the same all the time. But this one is rather big so after I got told off by my friends I go and am going to write an “ode to my cysts” when waiting there.

Find the words I am using here at Breast Cancer Care (and if you are one of those who skipped any cancer screening test go and make an appointment because you never know…)

10.59

I am on my way now… Google says 44 minutes but I do not trust Google (or my sense of following Google’s directions 😁)

11.49

Made it in 55 minutes 😁

12.02

Signed in ready to verse 🤪

12.03

Called in 🙄

12.25 back out 😍

13.25 back home and versing at last 😁

Ode to my cyst

You benign growth of mine

Many of you

Have I “treasured”

Jobless Lobules

Embedded in glandular tissue.

Fibrous.

Fibrous I am.

Daily.

But Mother Nature is kind.

Benign you are

Alas quite big

But benign you are!!!!

Just in case you are interested: yes it was a cyst and apparently the biggest they have ever emptied at 55ml. What a whopper. No wonder it hurt. Usually, I have about half that and they say then it’s big.

So my faith in the NHS is restored because I fully expected to have to come back for more procedures. The powers that be shall bless that doctor and the nurse!!!!

May you have a wonderful Saturday and if you want to celebrate with me the wonderful invention our breasts are (sorry gentlemen… 😁) then feel free to dance like no one’s watching 😘”

And that is really all I want to say (at 14.34) because writing is a bit difficult while laughing maniacally, dancing with a glass of wine in your hand and the dog hopping around you like a crazy little bunny  😉 .

    1. I got away with it. The doc said:” it feels like a cyst. If you are OK with it I empty it and if nothing comes out we go further. I was totally fine with it as I did not want to come back. It feels now like I have No left breast left 😁🙋‍♀️🐝

    1. So sorry you have to deal with those too. It’s not so much the cysts themselves as the worry it could be something g worse. Thanks for your kind words and for stopping by 🌻🙋‍♀️🐝

  1. Yay – glad it was benign! Cysts are a pain, no matter where you have them. I often wonder how normal they are and if my grandmother or grandfather had them and I just didn’t know about them?
