Of Rain, Blackberries & Coding

Hello my friends, how are you doing? I nearly forgot to get this post out because I was playing around on CodePen. On Tuesday I told you about my coding adventures and I am still occupied with the Tribute page to get on with FreeCodeCamp.

Thankfully, it is raining today in North Norfolk so I can spend the whole day on the laptop playing around with HTML and CSS. Doesn’t look to me like I am creating a masterpiece but it might be enough to get through the test.

It still all sounds too much like Chinese to me but at least I managed to get something on the page. Do you think it is silly to learn something techie at my age (48)? I am wondering that a lot.

Even Sherky needed to take a step back. We only did a short walk but it was at a different location so she had more than enough to sniff.

There are tons of blackberry bushes where we usually walk which are full of flowers at the moment. I bet I can forage lots in August when they are going to be ripe. I can’t wait. Never liked blackberries much but since a couple of years, I started to love them. And nothing is better than your own foraged food. Do you like blackberries?

In 2015 I wrote a poem about blackberries and here that exact blast from the past:

No, I never had pink heels. I hate pink. Am actually scraping off the pink colour of our bathroom because I can’t bear it anymore. But that is another story.
So, my dear readers, I am off to my CodePens again and hope I’ll get somewhere today. Just in case you like to check out some more bloggers and authors please have a look at these lovely people:

Carol Anne at Therapybits  where she explains how life is when you have more than one person in your body.

Jill at Filosofa’s Word who is snarky and funny and caring.

And for my German-speaking readers:

IlseLuise who shares wonderful poetry.

And if you feel very generous towards me then please share my Dreamstime profile where I sell some of my photo’s:

  1. Hey Bee … I have 20 years on you and I am still learning how to do new stuff, so if I can, you surely can! Blackberries and raspberries are my absolute favourites! And many thanks for the mention and for your very kind words! Hugs! 🙋

    1. Good morning, you are very welcome. Your posts often make my day even though I can’t come around as often as I want to. I managed my first coding project yesterday and am mightily proud. Still another 4 to go until I can start with the next certificate but I really love it. Never tjought that would be something I could master but here we go. Sending you a big hug. I hope the occupier of the White House has properly shot himself in the foot now. He might not be impeached but he certainly made the other side more determined to get over hatred and racism. It’s going to be interesting 🙋‍♀️🐝

      1. I fully understand … I can never get around to visiting my blogging friends nearly as often as I would like … just never enough hours in the day. Great job on your first coding project! You can do this … especially since you love it … that’s half the battle. I’d rather he shot himself in the head, but I’ll take what I can get … it seems that no matter what he does, he still maintains a strong 40%. Sigh. I will never understand it. Yes … interesting is guaranteed … stress-inducing is also. 🙋

  2. Definitely stress inducing. But who knows what comes from it? It might be very good stuff because he fully proves whats wrong with todays society. I just wish it would go without all the nastiness in between. He’ll fall eventually. They all do! 🙋‍♀️🐝
