It’s been a while that I have mentioned Extinction Rebellion to you. But on Monday another international Rebellion has started and will go on for two weeks.
The children are watching us as Greta said. And in my opinion they have all the right to do so because they are the ones who have to live with the mess that we leave behind.
Creating awareness via actions like Extinction Rebellion initiates is a good thing and if you feel like supporting them, go ahead and do so. But it is much more important in my opinion to change what you can change to have less impact on the environment.
We all know what we need to do and we can. So start today to use the car less, use less energy, water, and plastic. Once you start you realize how easy it is.
Please do not let our children down!!!!!!! Be a rebel for life!!!!!

I’m trying, but I cannot take credit, for it was all Miss Goose’s idea. We bought re-usable grocery bags, and mesh bags for produce, re-usable cups for Starbucks, and are working on getting either a distiller or filtration system for water to replace the 24 or so single-use bottles of spring water we buy every week. It’s a small step, but … as my former boss used to say … peanuts make elephants. Hugs, my friend. π

Methinks we are going to need to do a heck of a lot more, but … as you say … it’s a start. We are doing more than certain large corporations that, if they chose to, could make a huge difference. Sigh.

If only customers knew their power because as soon as someone doesn’t buy their stuff they change their tune but we are probably too brainwashed to stop consuming…. ππββοΈπ

So true. Many are too brainwashed, some simply don’t see it as their responsibility, and others are just plain selfish. There are a number of businesses and restaurants I won’t give my business to because they discriminate against LGBT people, but others keep going there, saying, “But, I like their chicken sandwiches”, or “but it’s the closest store to me”. Sigh.
