Hello out there, how are you doing? Are you well? I very much hope so and if not I am sending you lots of healing energy and chocolate ๐ . Please do not forget you rock no matter what challenges you are facing.
I don’t want to say much today just to introduce you to Olafur Arnalds an Icelandic musician that YouTube brought on my radar last week. He played or plays for several metal bands but his solo music style is more ambiente. It is very atmospheric and I just love it.
It was a bit creepy though. YouTube brought his song “So far & So Close” to my attention via the “My Mix” feature last Monday. It was the day my husband had an operation and I was waiting for information about how he is and how it went. It was rather unnerving because we are practically never apart but if felt exactly like that “So far & So close” ( the hospital is about an hours drive away from us).
But let’s see what Olafur says about himself:
On this page you can find out what I have been up to lately and maybe even a little bit about where I will go in the future. For me, the greatest thing about being a musician is being in the position to inspire other people.
I take such pleasure in hearing that people have been motivated to create after hearing my music, whether it be a painting, a poem, their own music or something completely different.
Music is not a one way street, it is a conversation where the listener’s role is as important as the artist’s. Well, here you can find my side of it all. What is yours? (http://olafurarnalds.com/)
I haven’t been inspired to anything yet by his music. I want to explore more of it first but it certainly gave me great comfort on that unnerving day. May you always have a good piece of music to hand when life is getting tough ๐
Happy Monday to you all!!!!!
Oooh you had me had chocolate.
I’m taking a break from playing my FaceBook part in the British General Election brawl. (refraining from sullying up this lovely post with its dust and fury)
Love the music. This is just the spot I need to unwind.
Thanks

Yes. This is a great injustice. Seems to me a simple rule of thumb. Do you live here? Do you pay income tax?….You vote.
Here’s hoping this inglorious chapter of our history can be turned around.

On Facebook I am trying to knock together the stubborn heads of those Lib-Dem and Labour supporters who will not vote tactically.
