Hello out there you lovely people of the blogosphere. How are you doing? I hope this last day of 2019 is treating you well and if not feel embraced by positive energy.
Yes, soon we’ll be a year older and maybe you have been wondering about your brain and memory. I’ll be 50 next year and my memory is certainly not the best anymore. So this article by the “Good News Network” made me very excited: Playing traditional board games and card games keep your brain active. How cool is that?
Apparently, the University in Edinburgh started a study in 1947 about how well people’s brains and memory work in later life. They took a memory test every three years and it turns out the “offline players” minds worked better. I am so excited and will be looking to join the local mental health organisation’s game club.
But find out more here. If the video doesn’t play here follow the link underneath to it’s YouTube location.
This post takes part in “Good News Tuesday” inspired by JoAnna on “Anything Possible”. I found this story over at the Good News Network. Please head over to both and find more uplifting news.
Happy Tuesday to you all!!!!!
I think, that your mentioned games, crosswords and sudoku also help to keep our brain working more healthy, Bee.
Wish you a wonderful and Happy New Year ❤
