Love Is In Da Blog 2020 Day 11: A love song from the year we were born & Prompt for Day 12

Hello out there, how are you? I hope you are well and that life is on your side. Well, I assume it always is but we do not always see it. But still, remember: You rock no matter your challenges!!!!

Today’s prompt is by me and suggests to find a song from the year we were born. Hmmm, I am aware, that not everybody wants to divulge the year of their birth but I was never bothered.

So I chose a song I had never heard LOL but by a singer who was rather famous in Germany in the 1970’s. It is Daliah Lavi an Israeli actress and singer. The song I have chosen is “Love’s Song”. I knew her more with German “Schlager” songs like “Willst Du mit mir gehn” (Do you want to go with me). “Schlager” is a mostly German music style tha likes catchy melodies and is often sentimental. It was incredibly popular in the 1970’s but is often frowned upon today.

I hope you enjoy this little tune and if the video doesn’t play here on the blog follow the link undeneath.

  1. Kirk Douglas helped Daliah Lavi get her start and she acted in the 1967 parody film/action Casino Royale with David Niven and the 1966 Thriller/Action The Silencers with Dean Martin playing secret agent Matt Helm.
