Some Cheer in these Dire Times with Good News Tuesday

Hello, dear readers of “The Bee Writes…”. I hope all of you are ok. I just want to let you know that you are in my prayers and thoughts.

Not sure how to start today’s post. Well, let’s say good news is more needed than ever. So I am going to share with you some video’s that made me smile and feel so much better on Saturday.

We usually watch BBC Breakfast in the morning. On Saturday they shared a Tik Tok video by Gloria Gaynor and one of a neighbourhood in Italy. Why?

Well, Gloria took her old hit “I will survive” to make a video about the importance of washing your hands and how best to do so:

Many took the challenge up and posted their handwashing regime too 😉 :

But it looks like she is not the only one who took to music and dance for hygiene 🙂 because in Korea a dance routine became viral for handwashing:

It looks to me like music is a universal healer, and many take to it when the going gets tough. In a neighborhood in Sienna, people flocked together on their balconies to make their self-isolation bearable with making some traditional music. And it looks like it became a much loved past-time all over Italy because it even spread down towards Sicily:

Isn’t that wonderful?

Now my dear friends, go, wash your hands, make some music and dance like no one’s watching because: We will survive!!!!!!

All I can add is:

Sing and wash your hands

Survival can be joyful

This post takes part in “Good News Tuesday” inspired by JoAnna on “Anything Possible”. Please head over and find more wonderful and inspiring stories. Thanks!

Just one more thing before you go: The hospital that is treating me for cancer is fundraising for a dedicated breast cancer unit which would allow same-day diagnosis and better premises for patients and staff.

Please, if you can spare a little money hop over to their Just Giving Page and give as little or much as you can. Or share the page on your social media. Your support means a lot to me! Thank you very much.

      1. Oh indeed we do.
By choice and ‘profession’ I am a grumpy old guy in his late 60s but those ‘kids’ (at my age you can use that term without causing offense) were so bubbly, bright and expressive I could not help but smile and say ‘Aww. Cool!’😀
(PS now I have that song going through my head…although the words have been replaced by ‘diddly-dee-dee-dee-dee-dee…Dee-Dee. Dee-Dee’ 😀)
