Hello out there, how are you? I hope you and yours are well. And I am sending you good vibes to keep going. I had scheduled this post for June but do need some rest for my arm and myself, so I move it forward with hardly any changes. I know all of us are occupied with the virus currently, but that doesn’t make the climate crisis go away.
Hello out there, how are you doing? Are you experiencing a changing climate? We certainly do. The area where we live has been really, really dry for the last two years. No substantial rain from December 2017 to September 2019 and then it all seemed to come at once. It was somehow raining all the time. Now, I know, we live in the UK and rain should be the norm, but it doesn’t seem to be anymore.
To us, the idea the climate is changing and that what scientists say for years is right is a no-brainer. It’s pretty apparent, and if you read up on the subject, you realize that it has gone much further than the media let us know for many many years.
We have changed a couple of things in our life, but I have written about that before so I won’t bore you again with it. Instead, I give you a couple of links that provide you ideas about what you can do, if you want to change too to save our children’s future!
- Sierra Club: 100 Things you can do to save the Planet (US)
- We Love It: 20 Things you can do to save the planet (also general information about the climate crisis)
- One Cent at a Time: 25 Everyday Techniques to save the planet (some ideas are repeated but they bring them into a different context)
- WWF: 10 Things you can do to help save the planet (great explanations for all lifestyle changes)
- The Guardian: 50 easy ways to save the planet (This article is from 2002 by the way)
And if you are someone like me who wonders how people can just stick their heads in the sand and ignore all the signs, then this video is for you.
(Please follow the link underneath the video if it doesn’t play here on the blog)
Happy Saturday, happy Easter to you all and happy saving this planet too ๐ !
We certainly need to take better care of our planet, Bee ๐
Where I live, the sky use to look grey/blueish, but in this lock down time I have seen a deep blue sky here, which is so very beautiful.
Take good care of yourself, dear Bee.
