#ClimateJusticeSaturday ~ No Jobs on a Dead Planet

Hello out there, how are you? I hope you and yours are well. I think of you! Obviously, the virus is a vast topic currently, but I think we should not lose sight of the climate crisis. If there is one thing that this virus showed is that our system is quite vulnerable and without people working and buying, it can’t work. That gives us “the people” a lot of power if we just see it that way and take that responsibility. We can demand a new eco-friendly system that takes care of all of us, especially at a time when everything has to be developed again. Let’s use that chance!

I wrote the rest of this post before the virus arrived. This is what I wrote:

When I am writing this post, it is in the middle of winter. Storms are raging over the UK and after a huge drought here in the East of England its raining and raining and raining.

I dread to think about how the weather will be in April when this post is published. Often politicians and corporations try to play jobs out against the environment either misjudging or simply ignoring the fact that there are no jobs on a dead planet as well as there is no food to be bought by money on a dead planet.

This compelling video makes the point a little bit clearer. Please follow the link underneath the video to its YouTube location if it doesn’t play here on the blog.

Happy Saturday despite everything and please take another step towards co2 reduction today despite the virus. Or maybe because of it. It showed that you can change your behaviour in a short time. Every little helps!!!!!
