Hello everybody out there, how are you? Do you see a tree in your garden or neighbourhood? I very much hope so because to me trees mean life and happiness.
That is probably the reason why I like to share tree planting stories on Good News Tuesday. And guess what? You get another one today. One that you can give some money too if planting trees isn’t an option but you have a penny or two left over at the end of the month. But if you can’t do either don’t worry. There is an app for that LOL.
So, what am I talking about? Today I want to introduce you to the “Eden Reforestation Project,” which is the brainchild of Dr. Stephen Fitch. He worked in Ethiopia and saw how de-forestation brings down whole communities as they lose their livelihoods. His idea was to employ villagers to regrow their forests and thus stop poverty and climate change in one go.
To me, that shows that our forests are more than just assets to make furniture or give us fresh air. We are still part of the ecological system and growing a forest gives communities life and a future.
I grew up surrounded by a forest. Germany is known for its well-managed forests, and the one I knew then was a mixture of needle and leaf trees. Mostly beech trees. They even gave the area the name. I used to gaze over the forest in school and daydream. It had something magical about it.
Maybe that is why I feel so connected to trees and forests and why I understand why they mean more than just a tree side by side with another tree. Please, watch Eden Reforestation Projects first video where the difference between land with and without trees is shown starkly.
Isn’t it awsome?
So please if you can plant a tree in your back garden. If you can’t but have some money give to the Eden Reforestation Project. And if you can’t do that either consider Ecosia as your search engine as they are supporting tree planting projects with the income your search creates. Thanks!
Please stay a little longer and find my poetry posts on The Bee Creates… on Weebly. Thanks!
You are more into photography? Then please check out my photo posts on Bee Wordless on Blogger.
You can also find my photos on Dreamstime (affiliate link, you do not need to buy anything but if you do I get 10% from your purchase).
Just one more thing before you go: The hospital that is treating me is fundraising for a dedicated breast cancer unit which would allow same-day diagnosis and better premises for patients and staff.
Please, if you can spare a little money hop over to their Just Giving Page and give as little or much as you can. Or share the page on your social media. Your support means a lot to me! Thank you very much.
Thanks my dears, for staying with me until the end. I appreciate your presence. Please stay safe, stay kind and remember that you rock!
Have you heard of using Ecosia as a search engine instead of Google? They plant trees with the number of searches 😁

Yes, I mention it in pretty much every blogpost about planting trees and use it since years. My husbands children mentioned it to us many years ago and we started using it directly 🤗🙋♀️🐝
