Hello, dear Love Is In Da Bloggers, how are you today? I hope you and yours are well and if not, that you have all the support you need. We are coming closer and closer to Valentine’s Day and while the sun is coming back with more and more power we had the winter hitting us hard.

I love February. While it is technically still winter February often offers some warm days in which you can get outside and enjoy nature a little less dressed up.
I used to have a ritual: I used the first warm February day to have a cup of coffee outside greeting mother nature. Maybe I start it again 😊. But I certainly have to wait for that a little while 😁.
I digress though and we better get on with today’s prompt:
Tristan & Iseult ~ Find a love folk song and/or write an Ae Freislighe about love
Or
Choose your own.
It seems to me, that my dear Love Is In Da Bloggers are a bit shy to allow themselves to do their own despite my prompts. So to take away your fear of doing something ” wrong” (which can’t happen at LoIsInDaBl anyway) I add to all the prompts “Or Choose Your Own”. Yes, you have that freedom. That’s how this blog event rolls 😊.
So please go ahead and defy me 😁
I have a thing for all things mythical ever since I had to read parts of the German Niebelungenlied in old German. It was so much fun but I think I was the only one who enjoyed it in my class. I read the whole thing in the end just because I wanted to know how it ends. And Kriemhild getting her revenge was an interesting concept to me. Siegfried and Kriemhild could have been a great love story too. I might keep them for next time.
“The Mists of Avalon” introduced me to the Arthurian legends and Marion Zimmer Bradley’s interpretation of Tristan and Iseult’s love annoyed me a little. I can’t remember why. Maybe it’s just the fact that those two simply do not get a happy end. Sometimes I wish great love stories would be a little bit more happy. But maybe that’s just me.
I found a lovely musical version for a film about Tristan and Isolde by the Chieftains:
How did you find writing a Ae Freislighe poem if you did it? I found it quite a fun challenge. You know, I do not like rhyming but I found this one a nice way of getting more used to it.
I hope I could encourage you to take part with my added “Choose your own” 😊
Let’s see what I managed:
Tristan & Iseult
Lo, was he her champion?
We only know their loving.
Dressed in nature’s campion
They ended up with nothing.
Found each other suddenly.
No, there was no lampion.
Very much the contrary.
Lo, was he her champion?
Looking forward to reading and listening to your entries 😘
Tomorrow, we go back to the cinema and to Russia. I couldn’t help but put Dr Zhivago and Lara as prompt. The film is a classic and I still want to read the book. Tomorrow’s prompt is:
Dr Zhivago & Lara ~ Find a “revolutionary” love song and/or write an Onegin Stanza about Zhivago and Lara
Or
Choose Your Own.
Now dear Love Is In Da Bloggers
go, find music, write poetry
and have lots of fun!!!!

- Join in! No matter where, when and with what. You missed the first day or week? Don’t worry. Just jump in when it suits you.
- Send us the link! The ping-back option does not always work so please leave a link in the comments of the post on the day you take part.
- Tag your post either with “Love Is In Da Blog” or “LoIsInDaBl” or “Love Is In Da Blog 21” or #LoIsInDaBl21. You can also use these as hashtags for Twitter and other Social Networks to give your post more exposure.
- No matter which music the prompt favours you create with it whatever you please, and whatever length you please (no pun intended 😉 ) as long as it is about “LOVE.”
- I post the prompt post the day before which is connected with the music for that day so you have some time to make up your mind and create your post. There won’t be two different posts and I hope it’s not too confusing.
