2020 was a year that will change everything. I believe, we do not know that yet but the collective trauma experienced and how our societies often fail us has become so much clearer. Or maybe it is not so much society failing us but politicians. For a long time, do I feel that we need a new system and the climate crisis makes that even more apparent. I can see the sprouts of a new system everywhere and I hope humankind manages to birth it in a peaceful manner. There is more than enough war in the world as it is. We’ll see.

Why do I write about this? Because my “Choose Your Own” today is my love for this planet and it’s physical and non-physical beings. That’s why I wrote this short haiku-like poem

eyes search the heavens

will the young ever forgive?

empty bag flies by

2020 has shown how fast we can change our ways. May we use this knowledge to take wise decisions for the future of our planet.

I also discovered French music last year. One song I like especially is a cooperation of the French rapper Maitre Gims and Sia. The video has a apocalyptic feel that’s why I think it fits with my topic today. But its also a beautiful love song. Here we go:
