Hello, my lovely Love Is In Da Bloggers, how are you today? I hope you and yours are well and you take good care of yourselves. That’s important in these interesting times :-).
Today we are doing another journey back to Bee’s childhood. One of the traditional Christmas films in Germany are the three Sissi films. Sissi was a Bavarian princess whose sister was supposed to marry the Austrian Emperor. He though fell for the younger much wilder girl and they somehow managed to get the marriage done. She was not happy though. Like all major royal houses the Austrian one had lots of protocols to adhere to and she wasn’t that sort of woman. And, of course, her sister was a little miffed at first and her mother-in-law did not approve at all.
I am not sure, how accurate the still popular 1950s films of Sissi were but they are kitsch and absolutely delightful. yes, I know, if you like kitsch LOL. To give you an idea what I am talking about here is a clip:
Delightful, isn’t it LOL
So, today’s prompt was
Sisi & Franz ~ Find an acapella Love song and/or write a Sestina poem about Sisi & Franz
or
Choose Your Own
and I simply have to skip this one. I tried. Yes, I did but I came up with nothing whatsoever. Probably, was more occupied with memories. 😉
Sissi & Franz
a young girl married
to someone famous
a great love
maybe
but
tragic
Franz Josef certainly ran to her and so I thought this song would fit perfectly. This is another Christmas staple for me: Pentatonix and their Christmas song versions. I am not such a fan of their other work but this one is great. Please enjoy:
What are we up to tomorrow? We’ll go back into the myths and move to
Lancelot & Guinevere ~ Find a love rock song and/or write a Hir a Thoddaid poem about love
Or
Choose Your Own
Now dear Love Is In Da Bloggers
go, find music, write poetry
and have lots of fun!!!!

Just one more thing before you go: The hospital that treated me for breast cancer in 2020 is fundraising for a dedicated breast cancer unit which would allow some same-day diagnosis and better premises for patients and staff.
Please, if you can spare a little money hop over to their Just Giving Page and give as little or much as you can. Or share the page on your social media. So far the campaign has raised about half the amount needed: £421,666 of £800,000 (January 2021).
Your support means a lot to me! Thank you very much.
Thanks, my dears, for staying with me until the end.
I appreciate your presence.
Please stay safe, stay kind and remember that you rock!
I really liked the Sisi film Bee. I did some research on this and the movie kind of put it all together for me.

The movies were just such a staple for Christmas in Germany besides the dubbed version of “Sound of Music” but I strangely never watched that until I came to the UK. Am glad you like it 🙋♀️🐝
