Hello, out there. Let me tell you one thing: You rock! Please remember that!

I seem to have chosen lots of topics that lead me back to my childhood. Today is another example. When I was a child we had a magazine that showed the TV program but also had some entertainment news. I remember, they often showed photos’ and brought a piece or two about poor Jackie Kennedy then Onasssis after the death of her second husband and about her raising a teenage girl. These pieces were not always truthful I suspect and they certainly were not always nice.

But she always struck me as a glamorous woman something that is not connected with me. Not that I mind. I feel the world needs all sorts of women ;-). I didn’t realise she died of cancer. There is the big C again :-(. Let’s just go to today’s prompt:

Jackie Kennedy & Aristotle Onassis ~ Find a love song from 1968 and/or write a free verse poem about love

or

Choose your own

For the song I chose Hello, I Love You (Wikipedia) by The Doors. Ever since I saw the 1991 biographical film about the band I was a fan of their music. Not all but most and his one certainly is one of my favourites. It was part of their 1968 album “Waiting for the Sun” and was part of a controversy with Ray Davies. He claimed the structure of the song was taken from the Kinks “All Day and All Night” and Creams “Sunshine of my Love”. Apparently Jim Morrison admitted some of it and an out of court settlement was agreed.

Well, looks to me like it is a great collaborative song ;-).

Tomorrow we go much further back into history and work with

Hadrian & Antinous ~ Find a metal ballad about love and/or write a Rispetto poem about their love

or

Choose your own

Just one more thing before you go: The hospital that treated me for breast cancer in 2020 is fundraising for a dedicated breast cancer unit which would allow some same-day diagnosis and better premises for patients and staff.

Please, if you can spare a little money hop over to their Just Giving Page and give as little or much as you can. Or share the page on your social media. So far the campaign has raised about half the amount needed: £421,666 of £800,000 (January 2021).

Your support means a lot to me! Thank you very much.

Thanks, my dears, for staying with me until the end.

I appreciate your presence.

Please stay safe, stay kind and remember that you rock!
