Hello, dear Love Is In Da Bloggers, woa, only three days left and “Love Is In Da Blog” is over. Let that sink in :-). So, let’s not chat too much and directly go where no one has gone before LOL
Today’s prompt was
Katniss & Peeta ~ Find a love song from the “Hunger Games” films and/or write a Tricubes poem about love
or
Choose your Own
I refused for a long time to read “The Hunger Games” books because I found that idea of children fighting for their lives repugnant. Then I signed up to Randy Ingermanson’s Writing Newsletter and he described the books as brilliant to learn how to write a novel. At the same time they were on offer at Amazon so I went for them and can’t get enough ever since.
I also like the films very much even though they are not exactly like the books. But I do not have that expectation. They are artworks in their own right. The song I chose isn’t exactly a love song but I think it has connotations to people who are in love and want to safe each other which fits the bill in my mind. So here, please, enjoy Jennifer Lawrence singing. Well, at least, I guess it is her singing…
And here my tricubes poem
Katniss & Peta
Their hanging
tree a live
Spectacle!
Their love found
ways and days
escaping.
In the end,
love did win:
Victory!
I like that form. Will definitely use it more often. And what’s up tomorrow?
Dante & Beatrice ~ Find an Italian love song and/or write a Palindrome poem about love
Now dear Love Is In Da Bloggers
go, find music, write poetry
and have lots of fun!!!!
“Love Is In Da Blog” Rules/suggestions
- Join in! No matter where, when and with what. You missed the first day or week? Don’t worry. Just jump in when it suits you.
- Send us the link! The ping-back option does not always work so please leave a link in the comments of the post on the day you take part.
- Tag your post either with “Love Is In Da Blog” or “LoIsInDaBl” or “Love Is In Da Blog 21” or #LoIsInDaBl21. You can also use these as hashtags for Twitter and other Social Networks to give your post more exposure.
- No matter which music the prompt favours you create with it whatever you please, and whatever length you please (no pun intended 😉 ) as long as it is about “LOVE.”
- I post the prompt post the day before which is connected with the music for that day so you have some time to make up your mind and create your post. There won’t be two different posts and I hope it’s not too confusing.

Just one more thing before you go: The hospital that treated me for breast cancer in 2020 is fundraising for a dedicated breast cancer unit which would allow some same-day diagnosis and better premises for patients and staff.
Please, if you can spare a little money hop over to their Just Giving Page and give as little or much as you can. Or share the page on your social media. So far the campaign has raised about half the amount needed: £421,666 of £800,000 (January 2021).
Your support means a lot to me! Thank you very much.
Thanks, my dears, for staying with me until the end.
I appreciate your presence.
Please stay safe, stay kind and remember that you rock!

I have become enthralled by the Hunger Games movies and love the haunting sound of “Hanging Tree.” The themes of surviving, heroism, and overcoming appeal to me greatly. At the same time, I am finding that dystopian movies tend to keep me awake at night, so I’m trying to be more selective. The books are still on my list, though, and I look forward to reading them. Maybe the books will help me feel better about Katniss choosing Peta over Gale.

Well, I think it was less a question of choosing then a question of surviving trauma. Gale would never understand what she went through while Peta does. The subconscious can be a powerful thing. I found both films and books quite disturbing. But her character just kept me reading. When you get the chance go for it. They are great.🙋♀️🐝

Yes, I can see how Peta could be more understanding. She had to have a lot of faith to trust him again. I do like how their love grew over time.

It is definitely a “It’s complicated” love story. 😊. But I understand how it feels it should have been Gale. One somehow wishes 🤗🙋♀️🐝
