What on earth, did I think when I did these prompts????? Well, it’s not called for nothing a “Random Challenge” 🙂

Our greyhound Sherky is a huge part of our now post-young-children relationship. She is the most gentle dog I’ve ever experienced and she has settled in nicely into the pet experience. We often laugh when she doesn’t want to go out in the rain or stands in front of the open fire to warm herself up. She would never have done that when we got her in 2018 and she was still a “proper” kennel- and ex-racer dog.

I follow many greyhound accounts on Twitter and Instagram and when times get tough their posts always cheer me up. Unless they have done their last journey over the rainbow bridge. Then I cry and it doesn’t matter if I knew much or little about their lives. Our pets are part of the family so losing one is like being amputated and my gentle heart includes all those ex-racers out there.

So today’s song is dedicated to her and it’s Simon and Garfunkel for a second time this year. Well, you know probably which one I mean 😉 “Kathy,” I said as we boarded a Greyhound in Pittsburgh…” Blimey, can you imagine how many years I needed to understand that a Greyhound is a bus and not a dog? English lyrics can be quite confusing for non-native-English speakers LOL
