For my black sister
But...

I wanted to be an ally
For my non-binary sister
But...

I wanted to be an ally
For my Muslim sister
But...

I wanted to be an ally

For my sisters and brothers
From all walks of life

But
I've forgotten

I had to be an ally
For myself first.
