Ok, you know every now, and then I leave you with a political rant. Especially ever since the Brexit referendum. Some way along the line I decided to stop whining about what I am fearing is happening in the UK. But the recent events made me think a comment is necessary. However, Jonathan Pie does it much better.
Bravo for him!!! He said it well and I love his anger, his passion!

Yes, he is great. I didn’t like him at first because he used to work in finance and came across a bit arrogant. But he makes valuable points about what is happening in the UK.

I can understand that … if there’s one thing that turns me off, it’s arrogance. But he did make good points. I did a bit of digging about this controversy with Gary Lineker vs BBC, and Suella Braverman … here I thought the U.S. was the only country with such a level of racism! I may do a post about this soon …

I keep telling you it’s a problem everywhere. I saw a program about black Germans and the racism they experience is awful. It’s just everywhere 😪

Sigh. More and more my eyes are opening to the fact that it is worldwide. But … WHY??? What is it that makes some people believe the colour of their skin or their religion or their gender identification somehow makes them “better”? I simply cannot understand it!!! I’ve thought ’til my brain hurt, and cannot figure it out.

I start to think the marxist theories are right. If the less fortunate are occupied with being afraid of each other no matter if it is because of race, political leaning, gender, sexual orientation they do not have the time to think about how unfair it is that a tiny minority has most of the assets and wealth while the rest has to struggle. If you have to struggle for paying bills you do not have the brain space to question system you live in. It seems one of the few theories that make sense to me. Maybe I am watching too much Novara Media 😁 https://youtube.com/@NovaraMedia

You’re right … it makes perfect sense. As does Marx’ theory on religion being “the opiate of the masses.” He was ahead of his time in many ways! Thanks for the link … I have set it aside to watch a bit later when I have more time, but it looks interesting!

It’s a news channel on YouTube that is crowdsourced. It’s journalists are often on mainstream media to share their insight on current affairs. They say they try to be objektive but they are definitely on the left side of the spectrum. However, they touch topics that mainstream often don’t. Their homepage is good too. https://novaramedia.com/

It was strange watching ‘Match of the Day’ on TV with no commentary last night. The BBC should never have gone that far.

Well at least they should be consistent with their reactions to their freelancers. Either sack em all when they make political comments or none of them.

I see that it’s all back to normal again now….for the time being anyway.
