Happy Tuesday my dears, despite everything. We just had our dinner which I made after we tried to visit our neighbour. He wasn’t in so we got a lovely walk down the hill and back up.

It’s one of those days when my brain refuses to compute because I didn’t fall asleep until three this morning but was up at 8. And that even though I didn’t even watch “Stranger Things”. I was writing. Yes, indeed. It happens and you can see some of the results here.

So my daft brain or maybe it was me or my evil twin or whoever plays the show here decided “yes, on top of finding bands along the alphabet I also use “river” as a topic”.

I know, I know – daft – and you’ll see if I manage 🫣 but maybe it’s utter fun. Imagine that????!!!!

Right Carlos Santana had a band with his brother. The band was called, you guessed it, Santana and my dad had one of their records which he often played. I think, little Bee hopped up and down to the melodies of “Samba Pa Ti“. I would have chosen this song if there would have been a river involved 😁

I can say I grew up with Santana in a way besides mum’s musical & oldie playing radio station and the odd classical piece. And you wonder why my music taste is so all over the place.

uhm, where we’re we? Oh, Santana. Maybe I check someone out who actually has an idea about Carlos: the man himself!

I forgot all about these sounds when I left home and then he turned up on MTV with Robb Thomas just so, so ” Smooth“. That was a great song. Those were the days my friends…

Ok, I won’t keep you waiting: he did a rather beautiful & quiet piece called “River” and I could not find a single word of information about it so you can simply enjoy it:

Schönen Dienstag meine Lieben, trotz allem. Wir hatten gerade unser Abendessen, das ich gemacht hatte, nachdem wir versucht hatten, unseren Nachbarn zu besuchen. Er war nicht da, also machten wir einen schönen Spaziergang den Hügel hinunter und wieder hinauf.

Es ist einer dieser Tage, an denen mein Gehirn sich weigert zu funktionieren, weil ich heute Morgen erst um drei eingeschlafen bin, und um 8 wieder wach war. Und das, obwohl ich „Stranger Things“ gar nicht geschaut habe. Ich habe geschrieben. Ja, in der Tat. Es passiert und Ihr könnt hier einige der Ergebnisse sehen.

Also entschied mein dummes Gehirn oder vielleicht war ich es oder mein böser Zwilling oder wer auch immer die Show hier spielt, „ja, zusätzlich zum Finden von Bands entlang des Alphabets verwende ich auch „Fluss“ als Thema“.

Ich weiß, ich weiß – blöd – und Ihr werdet sehen, ob ich es schaffe 🫣, aber vielleicht macht es total Spaß. Stell dir das mal vor????!!!!

Carlos Santana hatte mit seinem Bruder eine Band. Die Band hieß, Ihr habt es richtig erraten, Santana und mein Vater hatten eine ihrer Platten, die er oft spielte. Ich glaube, die kleine Bee hüpfte zu den Melodien von „Samba Pa Ti“ auf und ab. Ich hätte dieses Lied ausgewählt, wenn ein Fluss im Spiel gewesen wäre 😁

Ich kann sagen, dass ich mit Santana aufgewachsen bin, abgesehen von Mamas Musical- und Oldie-Radiosender und dem einen oder anderen klassischen Stück. Und Ihr fragt Euch, warum mein Musikgeschmack so durcheinander ist.

Ich habe all diese Klänge vergessen, als ich von zu Hause wegging und dann tauchte er mit Robb Thomas auf MTV auf, einfach so, so „Smooth“. Das war ein tolles Lied. Das waren noch Zeiten meine Freunde…
