Your Friday prompt for Stream of Consciousness Saturday is “starts with gen.” Find a word that starts with “gen” and use it in your post. Have fun!

Shame it wasn’t “Ger” then today’s band would fit perfectly. Even though I am cheating myself a little with this one. “Ferry Cross the Mersey” doesn’t actually have the word river in it. On the other hand, I haven’t checked. Well, let’s not dwell on it. The Mersey is a river in Liverpool and that’ll do for me.

Gerry & The Pacemakers sang it and I am wondering now if that generation already knew about pacemakers. The heart-make-work-again-kind, I mean. I am not checking. It’s Stream of Consciousness Saturday and I am allowed to not generate any sense.

Sense is overrated anyway. I suspect, if we wouldn’t look so much for sense in our lives we’d be much happier. Just accept: Nothing makes sense and get on with it.

Generally, yes, generally I just lost my train of thought. Got distracted by a video in which a woman thanked Jesus for her viewers and her food but at the same time was carrying a gun. I wonder where the ” turn the other cheek” is gone. But we don’t go down that road.

She was generous though. She would have shared her first bite with us. Shame it was a meaty meal. I don’t eat animals anymore. Why does gender come to mind now? And the gents? Is any gentleman present?

Gentle, yes, gentle and I thought I wouldn’t find any words with gen. Ah, I could go on for hours but you have other posts to visit so I better be gentile and let you go.
