Hi Bee, just got notification I can access your blog and have clicked the follow.
Do you have to have more radiotherapy? I had a second strike in September 2019, so more surgery.
No chemo or radiotherapy though.
Hope you’re doing OK.
Hi Di, sorry to hear that. Cancer is a beast. I am through with all treatment besides Tamoxifen for the next ten years but won’t know if it worked as I am told there is no check-up on it in the UK unless I find more lumps. At the moment that doesn’t matter anyway as the hospital that treated me is overrun by COVID and the cancer treatment departments are helping there. It is aweful but I am just grateful daily that they found it when they did. ๐โโ๏ธ๐
I didn’t need chemo, just 20 radiotherapy sessions 2016/17 and am on Letrozole now having originally been on anastrozole. I’m good though. They acted quickly with the second strike and we just got on with it. I had a good surgeon and you can’t feel the join. Smooth as a baby’s bottom LOL
Oh, that is good. I am happy for you ๐ค I had two tumors and my lymphnodes taken out on the left side. The scars are healed well but the area of the lymphnodes is still swollen and it hurts but that can’t be helped. That just needs quite a whime to sort utself out. It doesn’t look like lymphodema which is good ๐โโ๏ธ๐
I’ve got what feels like a football under my arm which is a nuisance, but doesn’t hurt. I could have more surgery to remove it, but I can live with it.
