Today we deal with a murderous couple:

Bonnie & Clyde ~ Find a Blues love song and/or write a Nonet about doomed love

I think I might have to deal with a minor childhood trauma here. When I was 9 or 10 years old, we went on holiday to the black forest. It was my parents and my grandparents and us children. My parents went out to have some fun while my grandmother looked after us. She loved it and spoilt us rotten when she could.

On this evening she allowed us to watch “Bonnie & Clyde”. It was the version with Faye Dunaway. I was mesmerized by her but when they get shot at the end of the film I literally got traumatised. Of course, I knew it was just a film but I used to live and breathe the films I watched and that bloodbath isn’t for soft nerves I would say. Or did my imagination make it more gory than it was? And is it just me, or does her name sound like “Done Away”???? Oh my, I get more and more down the blood smeared paths. Better do some poetry, shall we?

I challenged us to write a nonet and here is my proposal 🙂

Bonnie & Clyde

She meet him when she was very young.

Tempted by her sweet innocence

But innocent she was not.

Loving the excitement.

Other but their

Love is

doomed.

Yep, that’s basically it. No frills. No nonsense. Just some words and now some blues music:

Ok, this is not your usual love song. But it’s blues. And it’s about physical love. And it’s about someone bad. Fits all, doesn’t it? Here we go 😉

Just one more thing before you go: The hospital that is treating me is fundraising for a dedicated breast cancer unit which would allow some same-day diagnosis and better premises for patients and staff.
